What are Inlays and Onlays?

Traditional fillings use metal or composite filling whereas Inlays and Onlays look more natural and can be used to repair teeth damage. An Inlay is more comfortable than placing a crown in your mouth. Known as partial crowns, an Onlay replaces one or more of the chewing cusps and other areas that are in need of restoration.

In addition to dealing with issues that are treated with conventional fillings, Inlays and Onlays can be utilized for broken or cracked teeth, damaged fillings, tooth decay, and large areas in need of filling. They can also be a great cosmetic enhancement due to the porcelain material we use.
